Antoinette is a creative who has lived in Hackney for almost 16 years. She is the daughter of the current Erelu Kuti IV of Lagos and Antonio Deinde Fernandez. She became active in politics after seeing many of the thriving communities and businesses in the borough demolished due to gentrification and skyrocketing rents. Antoinette supports adopting Universal Basic Income, and measures to solve the cost of living crisis, housing crisis and the use of fairly priced sustainable renewable energy. She has volunteered in the Green Party as deputy chair of Greens of Colour, and is currently on the E&D committee and an EDI officer for the Green Party’s London Regional Party. Antoinette ran as the North East Constituency candidate in the 2024 London Assembly & Mayoral elections where she increased the vote share and came second. She also ran for the De Beauvoir by-election in May 2024 and again came second by just 119 votes, gaining the highest ever number of votes in the ward for the Hackney Greens. Help her continue to break records in the general election as the candidate for Hackney North and Stoke Newington.
